What makes Horizon-Calc different.
Feature 1 of 6
Four dimensions, one business model
Model the way your business is organised.
A 4D sheet combines three spatial axes with time. Pin a sheet to a point, such as a production line, or a range, such as a floor or whole site. Rename the dimensions to fit the model you are building.
The spatial view gives you the context; the familiar sheet gives you the calculation. A timeline lets you move through periods without rebuilding the same worksheet for every month.
Compare individual production lines, their floor totals and the whole plant as the model moves from month to month.

Monte Carlo: see the distribution
Replace false precision with an explicit range.
Describe uncertain inputs using normal, triangular, uniform, PERT, lognormal or named-scenario distributions. Choose whether variation happens once, each period or as a drift over time.
Run 500, 1,000 or 5,000 scenarios. Inspect percentile ranges, a histogram, the drivers of a selected result and the chance of crossing your threshold. Repeating the same draws helps compare changes without changing the random sample.
Ask how often the model’s return falls below zero, then inspect which uncertain input drives the spread.

See uncertainty move through space and time
Make risk visible where it belongs.
Show spread places each sheet’s block at its median, with a translucent column spanning its 10th to 90th percentiles. The timeline moves those ranges through the model’s periods.
Series views add a fan chart. If the model changes, the app marks the results as belonging to the earlier model and returns to the model’s own figures until you run again.
Spot a business unit whose central forecast looks healthy but whose downside range widens sharply in later months.

Turn a model into an interactive app
Let someone use your expertise without editing your sheets.
Select cells, mark them as inputs or results and describe the app you want. Horizon Calc can create a small interface with controls, charts and a scenario selector, using the selected model.
Changing an input is a what-if until you choose Apply to model. Export a standalone HTML app for offline use; the export identifies the model cells and dependencies it needs to carry.
Give a client a calculator for exploring pricing and costs while keeping the original model unchanged.

Trace the assumptions behind the number
Keep your own judgement visible in the calculation.
Attach sources to inputs and write statements with formulas that test whether they hold. Facts can be marked backed, illustrative, contradicted, changed since checked or still needing attention.
Explain follows the selected number to its dependencies, identifies assumptions without sources and shows which statements depend on it. AI fact checking is optional and sends the facts you choose to check to your selected service.
For a payback claim, trace the underlying cash-flow cells and review the assumptions supporting price and cost estimates.
