Practical Wisdom, in practice

What makes Intelli-Core different.

Feature 1 of 6

Nine ways to capture what you know

Start with the form that fits the thought.

Use memo, decision table, rules, diagram, timeline, concept map, upload, data sheet and document canvases. Each view gives a different entry point into the same knowledge-capture workspace.

A domain expert can begin with prose or a table rather than a formal language. The goal is to make the knowledge explicit enough to inspect and formalise, while keeping the original way it was expressed available.

In practice

Capture an expert interview as a memo, an exception as a decision table and relationships as a concept map.

Feature 2 of 6

See the formal representation beside the knowledge

Build a bridge between expertise and computation.

Inspect representations including first-order logic, IDP-Z3, Lean, Prolog and OWL. Captured statements feed a shared knowledge base with conflict review and tests.

Different representations have different capabilities. Seeing a formal target is not the same as proving every statement or connecting every export to a running engine; the supported path and result remain important.

In practice

Review the explicit conditions of a rule before asking a connected engine to evaluate a case.

Feature 3 of 6

Return from a rule to the original evidence

Make provenance useful during review.

A clause captured on a canvas opens that canvas with its element selected. A clause from a document finding opens the source viewer at the cited revision, with the relevant passages highlighted.

With IDP Studio connected, the viewer can show the stored original and rendered PDF page. Without that connection, saved cited passages remain available in the workspace.

In practice

When two rules appear to clash, return to their source passages instead of debating the extracted wording alone.

Feature 4 of 6

Test supported rules with real inference

Separate a rough check from an engine result.

Compile supported knowledge-base clauses into an IDP Studio model and evaluate saved tests using IDP-Z3 propagation. Results distinguish passed, failed, unknown and inconsistent outcomes.

The interface separates Intelli-Core’s simulated checks from real engine output and reports material that was not compiled. An unknown or unsupported result should not be silently presented as a pass.

In practice

Check a case against the compiled rules, then inspect whether a conflict or an unsupported clause limits the result.

Feature 5 of 6

Build a dashboard that reasons

Make the knowledge explorable.

Place model symbols, parameters, text and controls on a dashboard. In the connected View, inputs drive IDP Studio runs for propagation, expansion, optimisation, explanations or relevance.

Distinguish one possible solution from a consequence shared by every solution. Proven bounds and optima are shown as such; undecided values stay undecided. Changing inputs invalidates earlier button results.

In practice

Let a colleague explore a configuration, compare feasible solutions and ask why an option follows from the rules.

Feature 6 of 6

Generate OKF bundles for the Horizon family

Turn the knowledge baseline into a portable foundation.

Intelli-Core brings captured expertise into a knowledge baseline for Horizon-Knowledge. Through the connected IDP Studio export workflow, generate Open Knowledge File (OKF) bundles that carry reviewed knowledge and selected evidence into the other Horizon tools.

Preview bundle validity and diagnostics before downloading. Choose a compiled theory with consistency evidence, or test-run evidence without the theory. Export and import are explicit steps: the bundle is a portable foundation, not automatic synchronisation across the suite.

In practice

Create a reviewed knowledge baseline, generate an OKF bundle and bring that grounding into the tools used to write, calculate, retrieve or present.
